About Barrio Coffee
Coming August 2025!
Located at 634 25th St, San Diego, CA 92102, Barrio Coffee operates as a coffee shop serving San Diego in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In San Diego, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across California, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 6:30 amβ2 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. More information is available on its website, barriocoffeelove.com.
Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 109 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded coffee shops in San Diego.
San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in San Diego peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I can only say: get in and order something, because it is top quality and service. Espresso was dialed in perfectly, drip coffee was also very tasteful, and the croissant was the best I had in San Diego. Highly recommended!

Love this little Mexican gem a great addition to the Golden Hill neighborhood! The barista is super friendly and makes such tasty drinks. You can really tell he puts love and care into what he makes. Iβve been a couple of times now, and itβs become my little Wednesday treat after yoga right around the corner π§π½ββοΈβ¨. So far, Iβve tried the ceremonial matcha, lemon bar, and salted vanilla latte, and theyβve all been delicious! Iβve also tried their almond croissant, and let me tell you, it is SO good! Heat it up for a few minutes in the microwave and it practically melts in your mouthπ€€π₯. Just a little FYI: thereβs currently only one employee working, so be patient and give yourself 10β15 minutes to get your drink, especially in the morning. As a small minority business owner myself, I completely understand the challenge of knowing when it makes sense to bring on additional staff while youβre still building a consistent customer base. I get it and respect it. The vibe is still coming together, but I appreciate the artwork throughout the space that appears to be from local artists. I love seeing small businesses support other local creatives and contribute to the community. Parkin

Michael and the entire staff is truly amazing. I always look forward to the new creations and I'm starting to become that regular customer who visits on Sundays. Michael is full of conversations and knows how to engage with all the customers. Having this is truly extra special and shows that it's just more than your average coffee shop. It's like family here and as long as this place is in business, I'll continue to come here.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the coffee was excellent. I ordered their espresso tonic, which was made with orange bitters and finished with a fresh orange garnish. The citrus complemented the espresso perfectly, creating a refreshing and well-balanced drink. You can immediately tell they use high-quality beans. They source their coffee from a well-known roaster in Tijuana, Mexico, and it really shows in the flavor. If youβre looking for a great specialty coffee spot, this place is definitely worth a visit.
